READ MOREAT&T Pioneers Collect School Supplies for Underprivileged Children
Once again, the AT&T Pioneers have collected school supplies for underprivileged children.
We targeted to give away 100 school backpacks filled with the basic supplies to children who are provided with regular meals at House of Love Soup Kitchen on Central Ave in Newark NJ. The organization services 90 families (either homeless or very low income) monthly, in a partnership with HOPE (Helping Others Pursue Excellence) on Avon Ave in Newark. www.houseoflovesoupkitchen.org
We also expanded the drive to include the United Way of Hunterdon County that provides school supplies to children in the county who participate in free or subsidized lunch program. Backpacks were filled and then distributed by school nurses to help students in need. United Way of Hunterdon targeted 600 students with much needed school supplies. https://www.uwhunterdon.org/our-programs/tools-4-school-back-to-school. Our members, along with friends, family, colleagues, and employers contributed to this important effort. Everyone has been very generous in this most worthy effort.
